We can make Birthdays Happy for Children in need!

This was supposed be my 40th birthday party, last year. I'd been thinking about a big party for a couple of years, but this will be 21 months in the planning. Planning and the project is for me, and the party is for everyone else.

I knew I wanted it to be a fundraiser for Box of Balloons. I went a few years without celebrating my birthday because of a national tragedy that happened on my birthday, December 14. I didn't know if I'd ever celebrate until I found www.boxofballoons.org, an organization that gave me a reason to celebrate to use my birthday to draw attention to making others happy.

Box of Balloons is a 501c3 non-profit organization on a mission to make every birthday happy and every child celebrated. We have celebrated with Box of Balloons supply drives and Build a Box parties, for a while since found this org, and so I set a big goal this year, for a big birthday and a big party. A donation of $100 provides everything needed to give a child a birthday party, who wouldn't otherwise be able to celebrate!

I hope that if most people will contribute $20 or more, we can reach or surpass this goal.

Smaller gifts help too! A donation of $25 will provide cupcakes and party favors for one birthday party and $50 will provide a birthday gift for a child in need. A donation of any amount is appreciated and will help make a child feel celebrated on their special day.
